Ever Cleanse Review

Review By Allen McDaniel

Ever Cleanse is quickly becoming one of the most popular colon cleansers on the market today. It is an all natural treatment taken orally by mixing the Ever Cleanse powder with a glass of water. It helps to eliminate the buildup of parasites along the inside of ones colon. This improves health by creating bowl movements without straining or suffering with unpleasant stools. More than a colon cleanser, Ever Cleanse is an all-natural total body cleanse system which is made up of a variety of natural herbs. Along with cleansing the colon, the system comes with a replenishing formula to help reinforce the beneficial bacteria in your body.

There are not many colon cleansing systems that are 100% natural, but this is one of them. Ever Cleanse is the most natural and effective way to colon cleanse and improve the health of your vital organs. It effectively and gently clears the small and large intestines of harmful toxic build up. It is a common belief amongst many doctors that a regular colon detoxification is the key to a healthy life. A regular unhealthy food intake will ultimately cause harm to the colon. Constipation or clogging of the colon and all its tiny projections can keep all of the benefits from even the healthiest food from getting absorbed into the blood stream. Keeping a good digestive tract is important to keeping up with good health and vitality.

Trying a good colon cleanse such as Ever Cleanse will provide many health benefits by allowing nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to be absorbed better into your body. It also removes harmful impurities from your body and regulates their daily removal to give you back your energy and better health. After one begins a colon cleansing program, one will notice significant weight loss, no more bloating around your waistline, an energy boost, and many other health benefits. By ridding the toxins that are stored in the fat in your body, it will make the fat easier to burn in the form of energy. By getting rid of the toxins it improves overall appearance by making the body more streamlined and hair and skin will look more radiant. Ever Cleanse not only removes harmful impurities from your colon, it also regulates their daily removal to give you back your energy and better health long-term.

Once you start to detoxify your colon, you will quickly notice an increase in the amount of energy you have during the day, as well as a feeling of lightness. The Ever Cleanse colon cleansing system is made to be an internal tune-up for your body. Colon cleansing is a naturally effective and safe method to a healthier life. Ever Cleanse not only offers one of the best priced packages, they also offer several options that you can take advantage of to get the price even lower. Just browsing their website will reveal coupons and deals. No matter which colon cleanser you choose, the healthier living you will experience with regular colon detoxification will be worth it.

Top Secret Fat Loss Secret Review

Top Secret Fat Loss Secret Full Reviews

Collected By: Products-Reviews Views

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Suz looking right copy.jpgTop Secret Fat Loss Secret Review

You are probably asking," What is Top Secret Fat Loss Secret?" Well it is an amazing weight loss plan written by the renowned TV doctor, Dr Suzanne Gudakunst. It reveals the truth about why you cannot lose weight.

The TopSecretFatLossSecret plan explains the reason why individuals in the 21st century are becoming unhealthier, and are getting fatter, despite more resources than ever before being available to us.

This program will show you that being over weight is not because you have no will power, self-control or because you over eat too much.

Who Is the Author Of TopSecretFatLossSecret.com?

Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst is an Arizona doctor who has received many death threats to keep her publication out of the fat loss industry. That is because her report has the ability to affect the entire diet industry, since many of these companies' businesses will be affected. Read on to find out why she has got the diet companies running scared.

Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst has done studies of fat loss and the human digestive system and colon since from 2002, and how these 2 issues have a direct impact on one another. Now, she has published her results of why you need to fix your colon system before you can experience permanent fat loss. The relationship between people with chronic obesity and colon conditions are clearly highlighted in the report.

Everyone who has used her natural treatment methods has already benefited tremendously, improving their condition and fat loss results quickly. With such results, Dr. Suzanne further tried her treatment methods on overweight and fat people, and found that the results were just as effective.

What is this plan about?C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Suz looking nice but serious copy.jpg

This plan will tell you the truth on the subject of TopSecretFatLossSecret and why you find it so difficult to lose weight.

Only the truth, this plan is not concerned about exercise or diet.

You will learn the real truth behind your belly fat and how to lose that extra weight for good.

Have you ever wondered why we as a nation are getting fatter and fatter. Yet here in the 21st century we have far more resources available to us than before.

You are not over weight because you have no self control or lack will power, and it is not because you eat too much.

TopSecretFatLossSecret will reveal the unbelievable truth. The lies doctors, health professionals and diet food companies have been telling us for decades.

Would you believe that in reality diets, pills and health foods are not designed to work, in fact the opposite.

The reason why is staring you in the face - weight loss products are making billions for these people each year.

If this isn't bad enough, our food is being filled with unnatural things. You can learn all about this in the plan.

This is the reason TopSecretFatLossSecret differs shockingly from anything else and there's no drug, exercise program or health foods to buy.

You will never have to embark on a torturous diet again, or buy a so-called magic diet, where you end up heavier, and with more belly fat than you started with.

TopSecretFatLossSecret under covers yet another horror - the dangerous chemical in our foods cause plaque to build up in our bodies.

What Does Parasites Have To Do With Losing Wight?

Parasites are small worm like creatures which are found in almost 90% of the world population. They live inside the human body. They create some inflations in the intestine and the stomach making you more hungry. That is why most of the people who are willing to take hard diets fail to continue for a longer period. Most of the doctors give some medicine to destroy parasites out of your body. That medicine is highly acidic. Thus most of the people who used the medicine to kill parasite almost have put their life into danger. But Dr Suzanne Gudakunst treatment method has nothing to do with these stuff -

1. Dangerous drugs.
2. Diets that only make you starve yourself.
3. Diets that they know you can't stick to.
4. Unnatural supplements that can put your health forever at risk.
5. Anything unnatural that works against your body.

Conclusion

Did you know that the food companies deliberately put parasites in your food so that you gain weight, get fat and become ill?

Horrendous isn't it? These parasites live inside you and BREED! Then the chemicals produced by parasitic waste inform your brain that it needs to make more fat for them to eat.

The icing on the cake- well not so sweet, these parasites can die, become fossilized and cause blockages and disease.

All in all, a bad prognosis, unless you have TopSecretFatLossSecret. Do you really want:

. To be eaten alive
. A diseased body
. Flab and belly fat
. Overweight

It's just not necessary, as this amazing plan shows you how to remove this rubbish from your body and has a much better prognosis.

. Longevity
. Weight loss
. Healthy
. Energy

Lady Doc Gets Death Threats

Lady Doc Gets Death Threats for Revealing TOP SECRET Fat Loss Secret to General Public

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Suz looking right copy.jpgA new breakthrough secret is all you now need in order to forever shed countless pounds, stay healthy, and add many years to your life!

A lady doctor from Arizona has blown the lid off the best-kept secret in weight loss ever discovered -- and this has the whole diet food and drug industries turned upside down and in nothing less than a torrential uproar.

Her name is Dr Suzanne Gudakunst, and she's marching to the beat of a different drum.

And no, nothing about her "secret" is difficult -- nor does it require that you do something completely out of the ordinary or anything unnatural.

Instead, the Arizonian boasts proudly "...this is something that I caught onto just before 2002 when there was so much research and exploration going around concerning the human colon and digestive system working in harmony with nutritional absorption, and I started doing independent studies just to test things at first ... but which I later expanded on after seeing some fantastic results."

This same woman medical practitioner went on to accurately determine a definitive correlation between harmful plague and parasitic infestations of the human bowel tract, and people suffering chronic obesity -- and who despite intense diet and exercise appeared to be unable to lose any weight whatsoever.

Over the course of six years the Arizona doctor developed a number of natural treatments for the removal of these same harmful, even life-threatening plaques and rapidly reproducing digestive parasites -- and when applied to even worse-case patients suffering extreme obesity (98% of which were in immediate danger of dying) she saw a 100% effectiveness and success rate.

She then borrowed from her research on the severely obese, and applied the same strategies on milder cases of overweight persons -- only to find the same effectiveness and quality results as described above (although the individual weight loss per subject wasn't nearly as much as those obese patients 100 lbs to 200 lbs or more overweight).

So powerful is her secret that she's able to reverse diabetes, rid illness altogether in people suffering from cancer (linked directly to poor diet and overweight factors), as well as an elimination of an entire spectrum of serious and otherwise life-threatening diseases.C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Suz looking nice but serious copy.jpg

Nearly 100% of all her case subjects were told in the alternative by "conventional doctors" that they either had just months or years to live, or they would never live a life anything resembling remotely a "normal" existence -- yet after applying Dr Suzanne's treatments saw a complete contradiction to others doctors' prognoses.

Again, nothing about her secret is unnatural or requires someone to do any major action or modification in their lives.

In fact, her entire treatment is based completely on built-into-nature 'protection agents' scattered throughout the world in the form of select herbs, extracts, and organic constituents, and which can be found in a variety of plants -- but when combined in specific combinations and carefully chosen amounts make for a solution to what is perhaps the world's worst ever plague: OBESITY (and the illnesses and diseases resulting from it -- or at least severely aggravated or exacerbated by it).

Now to everyone else's great gain, whether suffering from just a few extra pounds and inches, to those extremely fat and overweight, this brave, bold lady doctor is releasing to the general public her secret for forever destroying the tight unrelenting closed-fist of obesity's stronghold over the now more than 40% of Americans labeled obese, and others worldwide.

But she's not promising any of us for how long.

Some experts and sociologists suggest that in the bigger scheme of things, the world will never tolerate a discovery of such magnitude, any more than it would be realistic to expect a car that runs on water (even if very real) to ever become commercially available to the general public for day-to-day use.

One well-respected and famous diet & wellness author wrote years ago that if anyone ever "truly unlocked the keys to permanent fat loss, they may actually suffer the same fate as JFK."

It is currently available at: TOP SECRET FAT LOSS

Lady Doctor Blows the Lid Off of the World's Most TOP SECRET Fat Loss Secret!

Obesity & Daily Calories

Posted by Bobby Cole
http://www.FatLoss4Idiots.com

The way to cure Obesity is not always by lowering your Daily Calories, and here's why...

Haven't you ever wondered why some people are naturally overweight while other people can remain skinny while eating twice as much?

The truth is that your total "daily calories" is not the deciding factor in whether you're overweight or skinny.

You see, there are 3 main types of calories that you can eat each day.

First, there is protein...

Next, there are carbohydrates (carbs)...

And finally there are fat calories...

The truth is that your body doesn't pay attention to how many daily calories are eaten, but rather your body pays attention to how much of EACH TYPE of calorie that you consume.

For example, if you eat too many sugar based calories (sugar is common in fat free foods) then your body won't be able to use all of those sugar calories, and the excess calories will be stored as fat tissue.

This can happen even if you didn't eat very many daily calories, because if you eat too many "wrong" calories then you'll get fat. This is why many obese people remain overweight their whole lives even though they eat less than some of their skinny friends and family members.

...And it doesn't have to be this way, because even though it's true that some people have slower metabolisms (and suffer from obesity) they can still get just as skinny as their friends if they just learn to EAT THE RIGHT TYPES OF CALORIES EACH DAY.

You see, your body needs protein, carbs and fat calories too. Your body needs all 3 types of calories, but it does not need them all in the same proportions at every meal.

Certain types of fat calories can speed up weight loss believe it or not, while other types of "fat free foods" will actually make you overweight if you eat them too often.

Why else do you think that losing weight is so difficult? Why else do you think that our society is suffering from a serious obesity problem which is getting worse?

It's because the ANSWER to weight loss is the OPPOSITE of what most people think. Most average people have been brought up to believe that eating "fat" is bad and that eating "fat free foods" is healthy.

That may "seem" logical at first, but in reality the opposite is often true. Eating "fat" does not automatically turn to fat tissue on your body, and eating "fat free" does not automatically cause weight loss to happen either.

To begin losing weight you must realize this fact and open your mind to a new way of dieting.

If you want to lose weight fast then you must learn to eat foods which have fat burning properties, and these are foods which keep your blood sugar level more stable throughout the day.

You see, if you eat foods which cause your blood sugar level to spike upwards too sharply then you'll feel "energetic" for a short while -- but then afterwards your blood sugar level will drop way too low and you'll feel tired and lethargic for the rest of the day.

The higher your blood sugar rises after a meal, then the lower it will drop afterward. ...And when it drops you'll feel tired and hungry all over again. This is why obese people often suffer from "highs and lows" in their energy level.

But if you begin eating fat burning foods (which keep your blood sugar level stable throughout the day) then your energy will be steady all day long, you'll have plenty of energy and you won't ever feel tired of lethargic.

Also, when your blood sugar level is kept stable then your body's natural fat burning engine will begin burning more fat tissue. That's why these are called "fat burning foods".

To learn which fat burning foods you need to eat to begin losing weight, we recommend using our new online diet right here.

The Truth About AB Machines

Posted by Bobby Cole
http://www.FatLoss4Idiots.com

Why Ab Machines Can Never Give You a Slimmer Waistline...

Ab Machines are not the answer to a slimmer waistline.

Ab machines are being advertised everywhere these days, but they are most commonly advertised on late night infomercials.

These infomercials are largely aimed at tricking the public to believe that they can “spot reduce” their stomach by doing a few ab exercises each day.

You’ve seen the infomercials – so you know what we’re talking about.

These infomercials usually have a bunch of super-healthy fitness models walking around with perfect abs -- and they tell you that they owe their great looking abs to whatever “ab machine" that they’re trying to sell to you.

These fitness models usually have a “smile” on their face as they demonstrate the ab machine for you, and they do this so that you’ll believe that it’s “fun and easy” to use their ab machine.

However, what these super-healthy fitness models don’t tell you is that they had great looking abs even before they used an ab machine.

Most of those fitness models were born with super-lean bodies, and this means that they would have great looking abs no matter what.

THE TRUTH ABOUT AB MACHINES

The truth is that ab machines do work to strengthen your ab muscles, but that’s all they do. They strengthen your ab muscles, but they do not make your waistline slimmer -- see the difference?

Ab machines cannot make your stomach THINNER or SLIMMER – they can only make your ab muscles STRONGER.

You see, even if you have the strongest ab muscles in the world, it’s still possible to have a huge waist at the same time.

In fact, just look at football players for a perfect example of this. Football players have some of the strongest ab muscles on the planet (you could almost hit their stomach with a sledgehammer and not hurt them) ---- but yet they are also some of the most overweight athletes on the planet.

This is because they have super strong ab muscles, but those ab muscles are buried beneath layers of fat tissue.

This fact PROVES that ab machines will only give you stronger abs, but they won’t give you a SLIMMER STOMACH.

If you want a thinner waistline then you must lose the fat tissue which is sitting on top of your stomach muscles, and the only way to do that is to follow a good dieting plan.

You must remember that you can make your abs super strong and firm, and yet you can still have tons of fat tissue sitting on top of your stomach which prevents your ab muscles from being seen.

This is the "truth" which ab machine makers don't want you to know when you're watching their fitness models on TV. The truth is that you need to begin a diet to lose the fat which is sitting on top of your ab muscles, since only then will you get a slimmer waistline.

To begin losing weight fast (and to get a slimmer waistline) we recommend using the new Idiot Proof Diet from Fat Loss 4 Idiots. This is a brand new type of diet never seen before.

You can begin this new diet right here.

Calorie Counting Doesn't Work For Weight Loss

Posted by Bobby Cole
www.FatLoss4Idiots.com

Most people believe that calories are the "enemy", since eating excess calories leads to excess fat, right? That's why most people believe that the fastest way to lose weight is to cut way back on calories each day.

After all, if a dieter is eating 2,500 calories per day and they decide to cut back to 1,500 calories per day, then obviously those extra 1,000 calories have to result in weight loss, right?

Well, actually this is not exactly true.

In fact, if you try to cut your calories too much (via starving yourself and skipping meals) then you'll quickly reach a dieting "plateau" (a point where the scale refuses to drop any lower no matter how little your are eating).

Firstly, let's talk about how the average person begins a new diet...

The scenario usually sounds something like this...

One day you look in the mirror and see that your clothes are fitting tighter than normal, and you look more overweight than normal. ...And on this day you get "angry" with yourself, you're angry with what you see in the mirror and you decide that you're going to lose weight no matter what it takes.

You are filled with lots of motivation and anger on this day, and you feel determined to do whatever it takes to get slimmer. So what's the first thing you do?

You begin skipping meals and cutting way back on calories in an attempt to starve yourself thinner, since you're convinced that calories are the enemy.

Anyway, the above scenario is how you begin your starvation diet.

On the first day of dieting you feel so "motivated" to lose weight that you decide to skip breakfast.

Unfortunately, this motivation doesn't last for long, because after a few hours your hunger begins making you feel weak -- because your body is not accustomed to "skipping meals" like this, and your body is not accustomed to being without calories for so long.

Anyway, by the time lunchtime arrives you're so hungry (and weak) that you feel absolutely miserable --- but yet you bravely tell yourself that you can handle this diet (because after all, you certainly dont want to feel like a quitter).

So you perhaps have a piece of fruit for lunch (or perhaps another small food item instead), since you're still convinced that you can starve yourself thinner.

Finally, hours later when dinnertime arrives you're so miserable and hungry that you have a major headache and this is the moment when you finally begin to realize that starving yourself might not be such a good idea after all.

After this first day of starving yourself you feel horrible, but you're determined to stick to your diet since you don't want to be a quitter so soon -- so you'll likely hold out for another few days on this diet.

Or, if you are particularly brave then you may even hold out for a week or two.

However, regardless of how long you actually hold out -- you won't get any slimmer and the final result will still be the same.

You see, even after two weeks of starving yourself you won't have achieved any serious weight loss at all. In fact, your body will still look the same when you look in the mirror.

Why is this true?

This is true because most of the weight lost during a "starvation diet" is just water weight, and not real fat loss.

You must remember that any "water weight" lost during a starvation diet will be gained back immediately when you stop dieting and start eating normally again.

Also, whenever you starve yourself you cause a "hidden" factor to come into play...

You see, whenever you starve yourself your body will begin burning fewer calories each day.

For instance, let's say that you normally eat about 3,000 calories per day.

....But then you suddenly cut way back on calories -- so that you're now eating only 1,000 calories per day.

Guess what happens?

Even though you're eating 2,000 fewer calories per day your body will begin burning 2,000 fewer calories per day so in reality your weight will remain the same even though you're eating 2,000 fewer calories per day.

When this happens the scale will stop going down regardless of how little you are eating each day, and this is known as a weight loss plateau.

This is why most starvation dieters cannot make the scale go down anymore after just two weeks of dieting. They all hit a "plateau" where the scale just refuses to go down any further, no matter how little they are eating each day.

Now you know why you've always failed when trying to starve yourself in the past, since it's just not possible to lose weight by starving yourself.

The truth is that "serious" weight loss can never be achieved by starvation dieting.

Serious weight loss can only be achieved by giving your body the right types of calories at the correct times each day, which is something that we talk about below...

Your body is actually like a big "engine" -- and the truth is that your body needs all 3 types of calories (protein, carbs, and fat) to some degree.

To begin losing weight fast we recommend using the new Idiot Proof Diet from Fat Loss 4 Idiots -- because it does not require any calorie counting (it's one of the only diets in the world which forces fast weight loss without the need to count calories).

Fat Burners: The Unadulterated Truth

Fat Burners: The Unadulterated Truth
By Tom Venuto, NSCA-CPT, ಕ್ಸ್ಕ್ಸ್

Posted By Bobby Cole
www.BurnTheFat.com

Fat burner supplements are advertised everywhere these days - on the internet, in magazines and even on TV. The ads almost always feature a very lean fitness model or bodybuilder and claim that these products, usually pills, were the secret to their six pack abs and very low body fat levels. Some of these ads suggest that the only way to get as lean as the "hot bodies" you see in the ads is by taking their "miracle pills" and that proper nutrition and exercise alone is not enough.

While I won't dismiss the fact that there are ingredients in some fat "burner" products that might help a little bit, I take great displeasure in seeing misleading advertising claims as well as the misleading use of models who are often paid to endorse the product even though they may never have even used it (they're just models!)

Many “fat burner” companies have been sued by the Federal Trade Commission for false advertising, false claims and falsifying before and after photos.

The best you get is a slight thermogenic effect and possibly some slight appetite suppression. A few products might work through other mechanisms like improving thyroid, but if you forgive me the generalization, I consider the effects of all these “fat burner” products to be minutia.

In one of my previous newsletters, I said that in my opinion, 97% of your results come from nutrition and training and maybe you get an extra 3% advantage from supplements. Just so you know those numbers arent something I just pulled out of thin air, lets take an example:

I have reviewed scientific data that EGCG, the active ingredient in green tea extract, if consumed in enough quantity, could increase thermogenesis / metabolic rate by an average of about 75 calories in 24 hours. Since ephedrine was taken off the market, green tea extract appears in many ephedra-free formulas these days. What is a typical calorie expenditure for an active male in 24 hours? lets say 2700 calories per day. 75/2700 = 2.7%.

That little extra doesnt hurt, especially when it's delivered in a healthful package such as green tea (rather than central nervous system stimulants), but it's minutia in the bigger picture. Another way to put this into perspective is to make a list of what other things would burn 75 calories (for 150 lb person:)

  • walk your dog for 15 minutes
  • walk for 5 minutes at normal casual pace three times a day
  • 30 minutes of ironing
  • bagging leaves and grass clippings for 14 minutes
  • re arrange your furniture for 10 minutes
  • wash your car, 15 minutes
  • vacuuming for 15 minutes
  • 7.2 minutes of walking up stairs (could be spread throughout the day)

Ah yes, but why move your body when you can take the pill and metabolism increases while you sit and watch TV? How about for your health? A body that is not moved, rots away. Unlike a car which only has so many miles on it and wears out from over-use, people are the only “machines” on earth that fall apart from under-use.

Here’s what any good personal trainer will always tell you: No amount of calorie restriction or pill-popping will ever give you FITNESS. It willl never give you STRENGTH. it will never get you MUSCULARITY. It will never give you FUNCTIONALITY. At best it will help you reduce body mass slightly.

On one hand, I’m tempted to say that everything counts and that yes, 75 calories here and 75 calories there, it ALL adds up, because it does. After you’re exercising regularly and all your fundamentals are in place, details and little things do matter.

I’m simply asking you to put the benefits of any fat burners in proper perspective and realize that (1) there is no “need” for taking them and (2) the claims made in the ads are often erroneous or exagerrated.

My advice on fat burners:

1. NEVER buy a fat burner unless you get independent verification of the claims made for the product.

How do you KNOW they really work? Are you SERIOUSLY going to take the advertisers word for it? Are you SERIOUSLY going to take someone else’s testimonial as fact? Get verification for yourself by going to the pub med data base and looking for the primary research.

2. Put it in perspective

With those products that work, such as those providing a small thermogenic effect, put that in perspective as compared to how easily you could burn that many calories with even light exercise like walking or housework. Keep in mind the additional fitness and strength benefits you will obtain from exercise as opposed to doing nothing and popping a pill.

3. See if there are any side effects or health warnings.

With all supplements and especially with prohormones or stronger thermogenics like the ephedrine and caffeine stack, (if you still have access to them), understand the risk to benefit ratio, and be certain you know the dangers and contraindications.

4. Read the label and see if the product contains enough active ingredient to even work.

A classic scam is when a “fat burner” advertisement quotes research that a certain inredient boosts metabolism, which might be true. What they may not tell you is that all the research with positive results used a large dosage of the ingredient, which might not be cheap. So the supplement company includes a “pinch” or “light dusting” of that ingredient just so they can say it’s in the bottle, even though it's nothing more than “label decoration.” Then they have the audacity to invoke the research studies in their advertisements when the amount of the ingredient in their product is no where near what was used in the research!

5. Proprietary blend scam.

Some companies don't let you see how much ingredient is in the product formula, because it contains multiple ingredients and they say their formula is a “trade secret” aka “proprietary”, so they list what is in the product but not how much. Well, if you don’t know how much is in there then how are you supposed to know whether it contains the proper dosage? (answer: you don't!)

6. Make sure there is human research, not just rodent research.

In many cases, advertisements cite studies on rats and mice as “proof” under the assumption that the product will produce the same results in humans. Animal research is an important part of the scientific method, as it is often used to help find areas of research where human study should be pursued, or in the other direction, to trace back the mechanism that makes something work. However, for obesity research in particular, a positive finding in rats does not mean the same thing will happen in humans.

7. Look for more than one human study.

Consider trying a supplement after it has human research that has been replicated by different research groups which are not industry-sponsored. My policy is that I will usually only give a “buy” rating to a supplement when a product has an intitial well-designed human controlled trial published and then similar research has been replicated by another research group that is not supplement-industry funded.

Actually, I think it’s a good thing that nutrition and supplement companies fund and sponsor some of the research. They should. They should not only back up their claims with published clinical trials, they should share some of the cost of this expensive research.

However, a basic principle of the scientific method is replication. Other researchers should be able to duplicate the findings. Therefore, while the funding source does not necessarily prove bias, if there is only one study available on a supplement and it is company or industry sponsored, I usually take it with a grain of salt and put an asterisk next to it while I wait for confirmation from another study. (You might be surprised at how infrequently this type of confirmation occurs).

Do you really need “more” than nutrition and exercise?

Now, when you weigh the fact that even the products with research backing them only help a little, with the fact that many of the ads lie to you about research, exagerrate claims and hide vital information about ingredients, and with the fact that you can do a few more minutes of exercise per day and get the same results for free, how enthusiastic are you about fat burners? Yeah, that’s why I’m not real excited about them either and based on the fact that I use no drugs and no “fat burner” supplements and I compete in bodybuilding - very successfully - I’d say that the assertion, “it takes more than nutrition and exercise to get six pack abs” is patently false.

Train hard and expect success,

South Beach Diet and the Atkins Low Carb Plan

Review:

The Atkins Low Carb Diet is based on eating very few carbs, and this is especially true during "Phase 1". We believe that it's one of the strictest low carb diets on the market, especially during "Phase 1".

There is no mistaking this program for anything other than a very strict low carb plan, since it only allows 80 carb calories per day during the first phase (20 grams of net carbs is approximately 80 carb calories per day)........and that's less carbs than you'll find in a large apple, since even a large apple has slightly more carbs than that.

Phase 1 of the Atkins Diet is now listed as 'optional' -- but even if Phase 1 is skipped we still believe that the overall carb limitations make it a very strict low carb diet.

This program is probably not for the faint of heart, since only truly committed dieters will probably be able to withstand Phase 1 of this program.

What about the South Beach Diet?

The South Beach diet is also a fairly strict low carb program (especially during the first phase).....though perhaps not as strict as the Atkins program.

...But it's our opinion that the South Beach plan is too strict (limits carbs too much) to be practical for everyday dieters -- especially during phase 1 with the severely reduced carbs and other rules forbidding many foods.

For example, we've observed that the higher carb foods (on the South Beach menu) are severely limited in portions during the first phase of the diet -- and this prevents a normal amount of carbs from being eaten during the first phase.

In fact, most of the foods which dieters are allowed to eat in "unlimited portions" (during phase 1) are protein foods and super-low-calorie vegetables.

For example, the South Beach menu allows unlimited lettuce during phase 1 --- but yet it limits the portions of "tomatoes" and "onions" and "peanuts".

Additionally, the "sweet snacks" which are allowed on the South Beach menu are limited to a mere 75 calories per day during phase 1.

So even though the South Beach plan allows "sweet snacks" -- they are severely limited to just 75 calories per day........and that's less calories than a single large cookie contains.

So although the South Beach program is not as strict as the Atkins diet, it's our opinion that both diets are fairly strict low carb programs -- and we believe that both plans will be fairly difficult to follow for average dieters who are not truly committed, especially during Phase 1.

Also.......both of these diets seem to have no "end" in sight -- since both the Atkins plan and the South Beach diet never allow dieters to return to a normal carb lifestyle (where carbs don't have to be closely watched).

Both of these diets do gradually allow more and more carbs to be eaten as time goes by of course (as time goes by the rules are relaxed a bit), but even after 6 months dieters are still told to watch their carb intake to some degree each day, and both diets seem to require a lifetime commitment of some sort.

So it's a permanent lifestyle change which is required by these diets, and many dieters may find it difficult to never be able to enjoy their favorite carb-filled restaurant meals (which can be eaten completely "as served", and without any restrictions).

So overall we think that both diets are not very practical for average dieters who are not 100% committed to making huge sacrifices for the long term, since we believe that many people will find it difficult to modify their entire lifestyle permanently. We therefore recommend against using the South Beach and Atkins programs for most people, for the reasons outlined above.

End of Review.

We've created a new Fat Burning Diet which is called the Idiot Proof Diet, and it has no specific limits on portions (it also allows 3 cheat days every 11 days where anything can be eaten, making the diet more practical for everyday dieters).

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

Press Release

Weight Loss Facts:

Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK.
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.

Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.

What about Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig Dieting Plans?
Weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers (and Jenny Craig) usually involve slower dieting progress over a longer period of time, since such programs generally promise only 2-3 pounds of weight loss per week. Also, programs such as Jenny Craig usually involve buying special meals and/or dietary supplements during the initial phases of the program. While some people may like these types of dietary programs, we prefer a dieting plan which focuses on faster weight loss, such as the Accelerated Fat Burning Program shown below...

"The Twin Epidemics" - a wake up call

Fat Burning Tips "Live" Weekly e-zine
November 29th, 2007
In This issue:
"The Twin Epidemics" - a wake up call

To:Bobby
From: Tom Venuto

"Big Billie," as we call him at the gym, just got the bad news. His doctor told him: "You have diabetes."

He's been feeling depressed ever since. He never thought it could happen to him.

Billie is a 43 year old powerlifter I've known for years. He's a mountain of a man with a 545 pound bench press. At 5' 9" and 265 pounds, he has muscle on top of muscle, but NOT all of that weight is lean mass. Billie is overweight.

Billie does zero cardiovascular exercise and for years, he has defiantly eaten anything he wanted. He even used to crack jokes about his "big gut" all the time.

His strength and muscle mass didn't protect him from diabetes.

For the first time in his life, fortunately, he came around asking what he should eat to lose fat and get healthy again.

Dr. John Kovac, a long time Burn The Fat newsletter reader and M.D., coincidentally, sent me an email yesterday that left me aghast.

"Tom, I just came back from a Kaiser Permanente Annual Diabetes Conference here in LA today and some of the findings are unnerving. Here are a few facts for you to think about as
you write your newsletters..."

Currently 1/3 of people with diabetes are also depressed.
47 million Americans have what is called Metabolic Syndrome, due to obesity.
40 million additional Americans have Pre-Diabetes, with abnormal glucose tolerance.
20 million Americans are diabetic.
60 million Americans are obese, with BMI over 30.

There were 195 million diabetics in the world in 1995.
There were 200 million diabetics in the world in 2000.
By 2030 there will be 366 million diabetics in the world.

Death rate from complications of diabetes has increased by 45% since 1947.

Depression precedes diabetes.
Depression precedes metabolic syndrome.
Depression precedes obesity.

Medical Doctors can impact only about 10% of the people regarding premature death from all causes, and 90% are out of control of healthcare systems and doctors.

Smoking causes 435,000 premature deaths per year in the USA. Half of all smokers carry some mental illness diagnosis.

58% of diabetes is directly caused by obesity.
14% of diabetes is directly due to physical inactivity.

365,000 premature deaths are caused directly by obesity and inactivity.

Researchers with a great idea for a new medication to treat or prevent diabetes have only about a 2% chance that their idea will ever reach the market, due to the regulations and
constraints on such development.

From time of idea, to time of marketing for a new medication is currently around 20 years. We don't have enough time to wait for the magic bullet.

50% of all drugs given to patients do not work for the patients that they are given to. That is the nature of genetic variability.

Every 10 seconds one diabetic person dies in the USA. But in the same 10 seconds two new diabetics are diagnosed with the disease.

Absolutely no intervention tested is effective in slowing or stopping the progression of pre-diabetes to diabetes. The only thing that appears to make any difference at all is to reduce
body fat and stabilize the function of the cells in the pancreas that produce insulin.

"As I said above, it was a very interesting conference, and outlined the fact that at current rates of diabetes appearance we will never impact that in the healthcare industry. We must do something to CHANGE THE BEHAVIOR OF PEOPLE. In the 1960s we did that with seatbelts. In the 1950's 50% of Americans were smokers, and now only 25% are. We still have a long way to go."

"I tell my patients that diabetes is not a disease, but a condition that requires management. If you ignore it, other bad things will happen."

Special thanks to Dr. Kovacs for sending me these statistics to share with all our Burn The Fat readers all across the globe.

Now take a look at this list:

1. Abdominal obesity (waist circumference greater than 40 inches/ 102 cm in men, or 35 inches/ 88 cm in women

2. High triglycerides: greater than 150 mg/dl

3. Reduced HDL cholesterol: lower than 40 mg/dl

4. elevated blood pressure: greater than 130/85

5. elevated fasting glucose: greater than 110 mg/dl

This is a list of the symptoms of metabolic syndrome. If you have three or more of these symptoms, you have metabolic syndrome and you are at greater risk of cardiovascular disease as well as diabetes.

A randomized controlled clinical trial at Brown Medical School just published in September said that one third of overweight subjects had metabolic syndrome and that males and people over age 44 were at even higher risk.

The good news is, the research also showed that even small losses in bodyweight markedly reduced the risk. For each 1 kg of weight lost, the odds of metabolic syndrome were reduced by 8%

If you have a friend or loved one who is at risk, please share this information. You can always give someone a friendly, caring nudge, although I realize that sometimes, a "slap in the face"
wake up call is needed.

If you are carrying excess body weight yourself, then I'm giving you a nudge, or consider this YOUR wake up call.

Whether you use my program (www.burnthefat.com), another program, or you just do it completely on your own, I'm urging you not to wait.

Begin to change your behaviors today. Begin to clean up your eating habits right now. It doesn't matter that it's the holidays. In fact, with this being a stressful season with many temptations,
there couldn't be a better time to start.

I also urge you to include exercise, not just diet.

Results of an Austrian study were just released a week ago which said that "fat loss depends on the energy deficit only and not the method for weight loss." It was the second study of its kind this year and the media and anti-exercise bandwagon jumped all over it and started shouting "see! You don't need exercise after all. Just diet."

"A caloric deficit from food reduction causes the same amount of body mass lost as an equal caloric deficit from aerobic exercise???" No kidding Einstein! It's called the law of energy balance.

People who exercise, especially when they do both weight training and cardio, usually have outstanding glycemic control and fewer problems with blood sugar management, not to mention all the other health and fitness benefits.

They not only weigh less, they are stronger, fitter and more attractive.

As Dr. John Berardi recently said, "not exercising is a fool's choice."

Any energy deficit will make you lose body mass. But what is your "lighter" body going to look like after losing body mass from diet alone? A smaller version of your current body maybe? Or maybe just a "skinny fat person." what more would you expect with no exercise?

Exercise is the chisel you use to sculpt your body.

Yes, losing weight with diet alone will improve your health and reduce risk of metabolic syndrome and diabetes. But no amount of food restriction will get you fit and strong or give you a nice physique.

Here you have the simple 1-2-3 formula which is the optimum way to improve your body composition, get healthier, get fitter, AND get stronger:

(1) Healthy food choices with mild caloric deficit
+
(2) Cardiovascular exercise
+
(3) Weight training

If you're not using this formula, then read those statistics again, especially the ones about inactivity. I hope they serve as a wake up call to millions and I hope the message is clear:

Do not ignore this "twin epidemic." Change your behavior. Start with yourself, then help others.

Americans Are Fat, Fed Up And Finished With Fad Diets

So What's The Next Big Thing In Weight Loss For 2006? New Jersey Trainer And Fat Loss Expert Says He Has The Answer.

[Hoboken, NJ, Jan 17 2006] Atkins is gone... Bankrupt. Popular fat burner pills have been yanked off the market by the FDA. The FTC has pulled down the gates and padlocked the doors of one company after another for making bogus claims about their diet products. We've cycled through an entire decade of low fat diets followed by another decade of low carb diets.

It's now 2006 and millions of men and women desperate to lose weight have suffered through it all and tried it all. Sadly, for 95% of them, everything has failed and obesity rates have exploded to an all time high. Americans are the fattest people on earth and they are frustrated and fed up.

So what now? Will a new diet or weight loss trend step into the spotlight in 2006? Respected fat loss expert Tom Venuto, author of the Internet's best selling e-book, "Burn The fat, Feed The Muscle," says he has some answers, and a prediction... "Fad diets and weight loss gimmicks will never go away completely. As long as human nature stays the same, the demand for quick fix gimmicks will continue and dishonest companies will always be there to provide the supply. I have no doubt someone will announce "the next big thing" in 2006 and it will turn out to be another passing fad like the rest of them."

The good news, says Venuto, is that he believes that a fundamental change has taken place over the past few years because so many fads have come and gone. Big names in the diet industry have gone bust or been forced off the market. The CDC has officially called obesity an "epidemic," and diets have utterly failed us. As a result, people are fed up with fads and finally ready to face up to the truth.

What is the truth? Most people want to hear, "take a pill , go to bed, wake up skinny." The truth, says Venuto, is closer to: "learn nutrition, burn the fat with exercise instead of starving the fat with diets, work hard, be patient, and lose weight slowly."

So far, with a little help from technology, Venuto's Internet-based fat burning program (which promotes no pills or supplements), has helped tens of thousands of people in 134 countries who were finally ready for this hard work ethic, common sense approach to achieving a healthy weight. He predicts there will be significant improvement in the obesity crisis before the end of the decade and vows to have something to do with it! Learn more at: http://www.burnthefat.com

Are Toxins in Your Fat Cells Released When You Lose Weight?

By Tom Venuto
www.burnthefat.com

QUESTION: Dear Tom: I have been following your Burn The Fat system with good results. I am losing body fat and maintaining my current lean mass. I've noticed that during my calorie deficit phase I sometimes suffer from light headedness and nausea out of the blue for no particular reason but not during my maintenance phase. I was looking into it and read an article that said that toxins from the food in the "typical American diet" of processed crappy foods get stored inside our fat cells along with excess dietary fat when we overeat, and when we create a calorie deficit and burn the excess fat in our bodies, we release those toxins back into the blood stream. Have you ever heard of this? Any truth? ?

ANSWER: Yes, your fat cells can accumulate numerous types of toxins. For example, almost everyone has traces of pesticides in their bodies. Many people freak out when they hear this, so they become more likely to fall for all kinds of bizarre and usually unproven "detoxification" rituals. It is a shame that our environment has become polluted, but the real questions are whether trace amounts of these substances pose any health risk and whether you actually have toxic levels in your body.

One group of substances that has come to attention recently in the context of fat loss, (in addition to health concerns), is organochlorines, including DDT, PCB’s and Dioxins. There is scientific evidence that these chemicals can be stored in fat cells and are released into your system when fat is lost.

The fish and wildlife service web page (fws.gov) has some detailed info on the chemistry and toxicology. One part was of particular interest:

"Organochlorines (OC's) are compounds that contain carbon, chlorine, and hydrogen. Their chlorine-carbon bonds are very strong which means that they do not break down easily. They are highly insoluble in water, but are attracted to fats. Since they resist metabolism and are readily stored in fatty tissue of any animal ingesting them, they accumulate in animals in higher trophic levels. This may occur when birds eat fish that have been exposed to the contaminant. It may also affect humans if they drink milk of a dairy cow that has ingested the chemical because the chemical is excreted in its milk fat. This is called biological magnification."

Some people may recall Rachel Carson and "Silent Spring" back in the 1960's which was largely responsible for the environmental movement and banning of DDT pesticides. Despite being banned decades ago, these chemicals can remain in our environment and in our bodies for years and organochlorine pollution appears to remain a very real issue today.

As for the release of these substances from your fat cells with weight loss, well, what can you say; those are the consequences of environmental pollution and this is just one more reason to stay lean and eat clean and perhaps also, do your share to take care of our environment, if you are so inclined. But I do believe for the most part, your body is quite well equipped to naturally detoxify most toxins that are ingested in "normal" (small) amounts or would likely be released slowly with normal rates of fat loss. I don't think this is a reason NOT to lose weight, although some researchers say that obese men and women have to "weigh the health advantages of losing the weight with a potentially harmful effect."

Unfortunately, there is another twist: Some data suggests that if these chemicals are released into your system as you lose weight, they could hamper fat loss by decreasing thyroid (T3 conversion) or reducing thermogenesis during weight loss if an obese person had accumulated these chemicals in their fat cells.

Everyone who loses weight experiences some degree of metabolic adaptation as they diet and lose weight, and some obese people seem to have a defect in thermogenesis or their hormones may be out of whack. Scientists began wondering if chemicals released from stored fat into circulation could be a cause of this metabolic slowdown. To the best of my knowledge, these findings have not been confirmed as causative through experimental research, but it's a disturbing prospect because getting lean is hard enough as it is.

Regarding the question about nausea and lightheadedness, I looked at several scientific studies on this subject and even after reading the full papers, I did not see any references to nausea or light headedness being related to Organochlorine release with weight loss. I did, however, see references to suppressed immune system and estrogenic effects in addition to the effects on thyroid. Light headedness could be as simple as low glycogen or blood sugar and caloric deficit.

If you take this research at face value it creates quite a conundrum, doesn't it? My advice is... don't. Don't be alarmist. Take the weight off anyway. Do it slowly and safely, and then keep it off - do NOT cycle up and down in weight. Also, this might be yet one more good reason to question the wisdom of losing weight quickly since the total body burden of OC's is greater in overweight people than in lean people, leaving them more susceptible to adverse effects. As one researcher said, "it could be preferable to moderate body weight loss."

I wouldn't let articles about "the typical American diet poisoning you with toxins" make you worry too much or jump on any bizarre detox rituals that don't have scientific support. You have to be pretty careful in the area of "detoxification" because it is filled with quackery and pseudoscience. Packaged, processed and refined foods are unhealthy. But this issue isn't about chemicals used in food processing, nor is it as simple as saying that eating "junk food" fills you with toxins. This is an environmental pollution issue, where the toxins find their way into our food supply - even "clean foods" - and then into our bodies, where in this case, they remain there for years.

I know it would be great if I could end this article by telling you how to get the OC’s out of your system. Unfortunately, the research data I have read does not propose a solution yet. Some people choose organic to avoid pesticides that are still used today, although the benefits of that would be preventative, not retroactive. For now, the best bet is to lose weight at a sensible rate, maintain a healthy weight, and eat clean, unprocessed foods as much as possible.

3500 Calories To Lose A Pound - Is This Formula All Wrong?

By Tom Venuto, NSCA-CPT, CSCS
www.BurnTheFat.com

Most fitness conscious people have heard that there are 3,500 calories in a pound of fat, so if you create a deficit of 3500 calories in a week, you lose a pound of weight. If you create a deficit of 7000 calories in a week, you lose two pounds, and so on. Right? Well, not so fast…

Dr. Kevin Hall, an investigator at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda has done some interesting research about the mechanisms regulating human body weight. He recently published a new paper in the International Journal of Obesity that throws a wrench in works of the “3500 calories to lose a pound” idea.

Some of the equations in his paper made my head hurt, but despite the complex math he used to come to his conclusions, his article clearly prompts the question, "3500 calories to lose a pound of WHAT?" His paper also contained a lot of simple and practical tips you can use to properly balance your caloric intake with output, fine tune your calorie deficit and help you retain more muscle when you diet.

Below, I’ve distilled some of the information into a simple bullet-point summary that any non-scientist can understand. Then I wrap up with my interpretation of how you can apply this data in your own fat loss program:

Calculating the calories required to lose a pound and fine-tuning your caloric deficit

  • 3500 calories to lose a pound has always been the rule of thumb. However, this 3500 calories figure goes back to research which assumed that all the weight lost would be adipose tissue (which would be ideal, of course).
  • But as we all know (unfortunately), lean body mass is lost along with body fat, which would indicate that the 3500 calorie figure could be an oversimplification.
  • The amount of lean body mass lost is based on initial body fat level and size of the calorie deficit
  • Lean people tend to lose more lean body mass and retain more fat.
  • Fat people tend to lose more body fat and retain more lean tissue (revealing why obese people can tolerate aggressive low calorie diets better than already lean people)
  • Very aggressive low calorie diets tend to erode lean body mass to a greater degree than more conservative diets.
  • whether the weight loss is lean or fat gives you the real answer of what is the required energy deficit per unit of weight loss
  • The metabolizable energy in fat is different than the metabolizable energy in muscle tissue. A pound of muscle is not 3500 calories. A pound of muscle yields about 600 calories.
  • If you lose lean body mass, then you lose more weight than if you lose fat.
  • If you create a 3500 calorie deficit in one week and you lose 100% body fat, you will lose one pound.
  • But if you create a 3500 calorie weekly deficit and as a result of that deficit, lose 100% muscle, you would lose almost 6 pounds of body weight! (of course, if you manage to lose 100% muscle, you will be forced to wear the Dieter’s Dunce cap)
  • If you have a high initial body fat percentage, then you are going to lose more fat relative to lean, so you may need a larger deficit to lose the same amount of weight as compared to a lean person
  • Creating a calorie deficit once at the beginning of a diet and maintaining that same caloric intake for the duration of the diet and after major weight loss fails to account for how your body decreases energy expenditure with reduced body weight
  • Weight loss typically slows down over time for a prescribed constant diet (the “plateau”). This is either due to the decreased metabolism mentioned above, or a relaxing of the diet compliance, or both (most people just can’t hack aggressive calorie reductions for long)
  • Progressive resistance training and or high protein diets can modify the proportion of weight lost from body fat versus lean tissue (which is why weight training and sufficient protein while on calorie restricted diets are absolute musts!)

So, based on this info, should you throw out the old calorie formulas?

Well, not necessarily. You can still use the standard calorie formulas to figure out how much you should eat, and you can use a 500-1000 calorie per day deficit (below maintenance) as a generic guideline to figure where to set your calories to lose one or two pounds per week respectively (at least that works “on paper” anyway).

Even better however, you could use this info to fine tune your caloric deficit using a percentage method and also base your deficit on your starting body fat level, to get a much more personalized and effective approach:

15-20% below maintenance calories = conservative deficit
20-25% below maintenance calories = moderate deficit
25-30% below maintenance calories = aggressive deficit
31-40% below maintenance calories = very aggressive deficit (risky)
50%+ below maintenance calories = semi starvation/starvation (potentially dangerous and unhealthy)

(Note: According to exercise physiologists Katch & Mcardle, the average female between the ages of 23 and 50 has a maintenance level of about 2000-2100 calories per day and the average male about 2700-2900 calories per day)

Usually, we would suggest starting with a conservative deficit of around 15-20% below maintenance. Based on this research, however, we see that there can be a big difference between lean and overweight people in how many calories they can or should cut.

If you have very high body fat to begin with, the typical rule of thumb on calorie deficits may underestimate the deficit required to lose a pound. It may also be too conservative, and you can probably use a more aggressive deficit safely without as much worry about muscle loss or metabolic slowdown.

If you are extremely lean, like a bodybuilder trying to get ready for competition, you would want to be very cautious about using aggressive calorie deficits. You’d be better off keeping the deficit conservative and starting your diet/cutting phase earlier to allow for a slow, but safe rate of fat loss, with maximum retention of muscle tissue.

The bottom line is that it’s not quite so simple as 3,500 calories being the deficit to lose a pound. Like lots of other things in nutrition that vary from person to person, the ideal amount of calories to cut “depends”…

Note: The Burn the Fat, Feed The Muscle program not only has an entire chapter dedicated to helping you calculate your exact calorie needs, it was designed very specifically to keep a fairly conservative approach to caloric deficits and to maximize the amount of lean tissue you retain and minimize the amount of metabolic adaptation that occurs when you’re dieting. The approach may be more conservative, and the fat loss may be slower, but it has a better long term track record… You can either lose weight fast, sacrifice muscle and gain the fat back like 95% of people do, or lose fat slow and keep it off forever like the 5% of the people who know the secrets. The choice is yours. For more information, visit: http://www.burnthefat.com

Learn more at: http://www.burnthefat.com.
